His service in World War II under General Patton only sharpened his drive, leading him to go into the used car service after returning home. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck launched his very own gasoline station and marketed autos, eventually creating a long-term partnership with Bud Higgs to develop Chuck & Buds-- a car dealer that focused on client service, using service warranties unprecedented at the time.
